Connecting from the Horton Creek Trail brought rain

Then wind, hail and a muddy trail under gray skies
A glimpse of the Mogollon Rim
Looking up to where we were last week
I thought it was a scrap of paper
Then the hail came
Rain & hail didn't dim the vibrant colors
Another peek at the rim
More hail
Some kind of fungus?
Find the squirrel in the photo
Just the tail of the tufed ear squirrel
