Mark's Scenic Arizona

Brown's Peak = October 26, 2011

On the drive we hoped the sky would clear for our climb

It did... AFTER we aborted due to engulfing clouds

Four Peaks completely engulfed by clouds
Is it possible the sun is coming out?
If this keeps up we'll have a great view
Low clouds just to the north
Still dark clouds nearby
Snoopy's buddy Woodstock
Remnants of the fire years ago
More evidence of the fire
Roosevelt Lake
Weird smile on the rock
Couldn't quite get the full face in
The clouds are coming in again.
Looked like it was clearing again
Lower North slope of Brown's Peak

Looking good again....
Clearing a little more
Looked good enough to begin the climb
On the way
Low clouds coming back in again
Barely in the chute and we're in clouds
Wind seemed to keep it clear for us
Farther up the chute and it's getting foggier
Now we're in full mist
Wouldn't you know it... now it clears
Looks like it will clear more
But the clouds roll in AGAIN
The clouds engulf the peaks again
Dark clouds move in again
Now back to AZ 87 it looks great.
